Latics blunt Blades
Former Sheffield Wednesday striker Shefki Kuqi scored an injury-time winner from the penalty spot as Oldham completed an unlikely comeback to triumph 3-2 at Sheffield United.
The Blades were coasting following first-half goals from Matt Lowton and Ched Evans before Richard Cresswell scored an own goal and Kieran Lee equalised for the visitors. Kuqi's penalty came after Harry Maguire hauled down Reuben Reid.
Lowton grabbed the opening goal after 22 minutes, tapping in from close-range after Evans won the ball and played it across the face of goal.
Evans made it 2-0 seven minutes before half-time, drilling a low shot beyond Alex Cisak from the right-hand side of the area for his 22nd goal of the season.
Blades skipper Michael Doyle struck a post with a 20-yard effort before Cresswell headed the ball into his own net following a Filipe Morais corner in the 65th minute.
Two minutes later, Lowton was sent-off when he received a second yellow card for a late challenge on James Tarkowski.
Lee quickly made it 2-2 with a fine shot from the right-hand side of the area after 69 minutes.
Maguire's foul on Reid at the death, which resulted in Kuqi's winning penalty, also saw the defender sent-off.
