Bees sting Latics
Brentford earned a fourth straight away win as they beat Oldham 2-0, despite playing most of the second half with 10 men.
Jonathan Douglas struck a fine goal to put the Bees in front and, after Miguel Llera's sending off, Myles Weston made the points safe.
Oldham goalkeeper Alex Cisak was first to be called into the action as he parried Niall McGinn's angled shot, but opposite number Richard Lee did well to deny Shefki Kuqi.
Lee then made a stunning save on the half-hour, tipping away Reuben Reid's powerful drive after the striker burst in to the box.
Brentford went ahead against the run of play after 38 minutes. Douglas seized on a clearance and slammed his first-time volley into the bottom corner from 22 yards.
Brentford began to dominate with quick passing football and Douglas nearly doubled the lead with another long-range blast.
The visitors went down to 10 men after 64 minutes when Llera, who had been booked in the first half, received his second yellow card for a handball.
Yet nine minutes later it was 2-0 as McGinn's fine work down the left set up substitute Weston to drill home from 10 yards.
