Matty Wolfenden (pictured) has been told by Dave Penney that he is available on go out on loan which suggests that his Athletic playing career is over. The 22-year-old striker recently signed a short-team deal until the end of August but it appears that he does not fit into the new boss' plans. Midfielder Kieran Lee (21), who has another season left on his contract, has also been told that he is available to go out of Boundary Park on loan. Penney confirmed, "Neither Matty nor Kieran will effect the first team. They are available for loan, which frees up two places so we can get other players in."
