Latics have taken Scottish forward Robbie Winters on trial. After being linked with Winters all season, he is now hoping to show enough to John Sheridan to make him offer a contract. The 32 year old has been capped once by Scotland and is available on a free transfer. The player has previously had spells with Aberdeen, Dundee United and Luton Town and has just quit Norwegian club SK Brann where he scored 36 goals in 98 appearances and won the domestic Cup in 2004. Shez has been wanting to bring in another striker and will take a closer look at the player over the next week.
