Windass still in the fold?

With all the speculation about the commitment of Latics striker Dean Windass the fact remains that he is still an Athletic player and is still expected to work to earn his wages. Windass has his own blog on the Internet but he has stated that he does not write it and the recent comments on his blog have been taken out of context. He has apologised in a recorded Latics World interview but the fact remains that he left the ground after the Leeds game in a surly mood and his body language gave the impression that he was annoyed and, according to reports, his face looked like "thunder."

Simon Corney is to have a further clear-the-air talks with the player and he said, "Dean does not write his own blog and, from what I can gather, he has been misquoted. As far as I am concerned nothing has happened and he will be back training this morning."
