Vernon speaks of his move

Scott Vernon, Athletic’s top-scorer in the 2003-04 campaign, spoke of his move to Blackpool and said, “I would like to thank the Oldham fans for all their support. This move is nothing against them or the club, it is just a personal thing. I didn’t get many starts towards the end of last season and I thought it was the right time to make a break. After talking to Colin Hendry, I thought it was too good a move to turn down.” We at Oldham Mad wish Scott all the best in his career (except when he plays against Oldham).
