Five fans were arrested for public order offences before the match at Blackburn Rovers on Saturday after police had launched a wide-scale operation which inluded some firearm officers.
According to the police, the majority of fans had been well behaved but one Blackburn fan and four from Oldham were arrested for minor public order offences and they all remained in custody for the evening.
The match was attended by 13,665 supporters of which 2,294 were travelling Latics fans.
