Transfer window is nigh

With the transfer window open on Thursday the future of the club's players who are out on loan is still not decided. JP Kalala has played nine games for his former club Grimsby and has scored two goals. It has been well documented as to how Craig Davies has been helping Latics' League One fellow promotion challengers Stockport County. Davies has scored six goals in 13 appearances for the Hatters which has helped push them into the play-off spots. John Thompson has made 16 appearances for League Two Notts County as has put in some impressive performances. All three players have just one game remaining so it will be interesting to see how things develop.
Athletic are to open talks with Wolverhampton Wanderers regarding their on loan defender Daniel Jones who has put in some very encouraging displays for the boys in blue. Although he is currently ruled out with a knee problem he has made 14 appearances for the Latics, scoring one goal.
