Thom to retire

Former Latics defender Stuart Thom has been told that he has to retire through injury from the game. Only 25, Thom’s persistent calf injury has finally beaten him.


Thom made 34 league appearances before moving to Scunthorpe but again fitness has kept him out of the headlines. Scunthorpe have offered him a scouting position and he is also doing some work for a local radio station.
