Stefan Stam, the Latics Dutch defender, limped out of last Saturday's game at Walsall early on and is likely to be out for at least a couple of weeks with a groin muscle problem. Stam had just fought back from injury to get back in the first team so the injury is doubly cruel to him.He was replaced by Will Haining who has also returned from injury and he put in a good shift in the Latics vital win, their third successive shut out.
