Stam back in training

Stefan Stam could be pushing for a first team place soon after completing his first training session for almost three months. Stam has been out of action after tearing his hamstring in a reserve-team friendly and has not made a first team appearance all season. The damaged muscle had to be rested to aid the healing and Stam went back to Holland to work on his fitness.
His training stint left him with no ill effects and the ex-PSV Eindhoven player is itching to get back into first team action. After being offered a one year renewed contract in summer his injury struck again so Stam is now hoping that the injury jinx is well and truly gone.
