Slade left frustrated

Russell Slade was frustrated with the way his team succumbed 2-0 to Athletic and he admitted to the official Seagull's website, "The frustration goes on. It is disappointing to be back in the relegation zone, as it's not where we want to be. But we've got to do something about it. We're not going to walk or run away from it, we're going to do something about it. We'll turn up Monday and be very positive, very upbeat and get down to our jobs and do the basics better."

"Again it wasn't so bad between the two boxes, but defensively we conceded two soft goals. We've had a couple of good opportunities to score, hit the wood work twice, the chances were there in what was always going to be a tight game. Their first goal was slightly unfortunate because it took a deflection, but I still thought it was a soft goal. We stopped for the second goal and we've held our hand up for that in the changing rooms and we've got to learn from that quickly. We had something like 18 set plays today and we need to have a bit more of that ruthless streak. We came mightily close to scoring a couple of them, but Oldham had just a couple and managed to get goals. In both boxes we've got to do it right and that's been our Achilles heel once more."
