Shez gives his reasons

John Sheridan has given his reasons for the signing of 34 year old Simon Charlton. The experienced Charlton has made over 300 Premiership appearances for Bolton, Southampton and Norwich in his career and has signed a one year deal at Boundary Park.

Shez said, "I think Simon's a very good signing. We needed more experience in the squad, and Simon can definitely provide that. He's played at the top level for a long time. Like myself, Simon is very much a moaner and groaner on the pitch. I think we desperately needed a more vocal player, as we're a very quiet side. I'm hopeful Simon can help get the best out of our players."
