Sheridan said, "It's gone and in the past, there is no point dwelling on it. It was disappointing for everybody connected with the club and we have to pick ourselves up and get on with it. We all know we can play a lot better and now is the time to go out and prove it. Bradford is an even bigger game following the midweek defeat and we can't afford any more slip-ups. I am sure the lads will get their confidence back and go there to win the game, there is no question about that. They are in mid-table without an awful lot to play for and, hopefully, they can have an off day and we come away with the three points we need. Luckily for us Dean Windass is missing. He is a quality player in this division and he will be a big miss for them, so let's see if we can gain from it."
"A lot of players didn't perform at Rotherham, you can cope with one or two having an off day but not eight or nine. We weren't as strong and organised as we have been in our good run and let ourselves down. I am sure it will be a much better performance at Bradford. There is still plenty to play for and it is vital we keep picking up points. I don't look at anyone else because it is all down to what we do, our destiny will be decided on how we perform. Our job is to go out and try to win as many points as possible."
There is no truth in the suggestion by a dejected Latics fan that the reason is that "Ronnie is still drunk in Rotherham after celebrating the midweek win!"
