Sheridan looks to Yeovil game

John Sheridan has told his players that they have to smarten up or miss out on promotion. Since they hit top spot some weeks ago thay have struggled to regain their top form and seem to be permanently stuck in fifth spot. The chasing pack and other top teams are closing ranks though and Blackpool will now overtake Athletic if they win their game in hand.

Shez fumed, "We've got a chance of going to Wembley for a play-off final, so you'd think there would be more fight in the team to make it happen. The sides behind us are getting closer and closer. Draws aren't going to be enough to make sure we finish in the top six. The run we're on isn't play-off form, which is very disappointing after we got ourselves in such a great position in the league a few weeks ago. For some reason we've switched off after going really well, but it's hard to explain because not a lot has changed. If we don't start winning games we're going to find ourselves outside the top six, and that would be a waste of everything we've done already."

"We need more drive and we need more energy. The players had a couple of days off during the week, so they can't be tired. We should be bang up for it every week, but that isn't happening. These (new) lads will need time to bed in, especially as they have hardly trained with the rest of the squad. Luigi (pictured) caused Brentford a few problems and Hasney did okay, although he'll do better with a few more games."
