Robinson angry at performance

Franchise FC assistant manager Karl Robinson criticised his team's performance at Boundary Park. He told their official website, "We're angry, disappointed and I think that's the feelings of all the players as well as the staff. Sometimes in football you can never really comprehend why things happen in a game, sometimes players don't turn up and perform, sometimes they drop their levels and I don't think you can begin to understand how disappointed we are as a group. Once their first goal went in we had a number of chances to get back into the game quite quickly and didn't take them. From then on in we just look like we weren't going to score. Maybe we're being a little harsh because the players have been outstanding in the last few weeks, but it's not about that. We've got staff here and a group of players that will not accept anything less than a certain level. Tonight it wasn't good enough."

"We've come here tonight, not really performed and still had three or four guilt-edged chances, that's what makes it even more frustrating. We need to regroup, have another look at that performance because it's just not good enough. It wasn't our intention to play longer. We felt we still had enough in midfield to play with two big men up front, who will always cause problems for defences in this league. Whoever puts a shirt on for MK Dons is the right player for that game and we felt, with Chaddy coming off one side and Stephen Gleeson getting into little gaps, that the system could work for us. It's about how we react to this now, as a group, and we're strong enough mentally with enough quality players to bounce back from what we all believe was a poor performance."
