Jordan Robertson, on loan from Sheffield United, had to retire from the home game with Hartlepool after limping off in pain that was suspected to be a leg fracture. However, the 20 year old was taken to Royal Oldham Hospital and further investigations have revealed that the damage is not as serious as first feared. Ligaments and tissue damage has been diagnosed as opposed to bone damage. It is unknown when he will be available for selection again.
John Sheridan commented, "It's a shame for Jordan because he came here to play football and now he's picked up an injury. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the damage isn't too bad and that he'll be back in action sooner rather than later."
