Robertson hopes to make a big impression
New loan signing Jordan Robertson is hoping to make a big impression at Boundary Park. He told Latics World, "It was a strange one. I'd trained in the morning at Sheffield and only got the go-ahead to move after we'd finished. It was a bit strange to travel over for a game after coming off the training ground. I was in a similar situation when I played for Northampton against Oldham last year. I'd only signed the day before and I managed to come off the bench and get a goal."
"I've played against Celtic and Rangers and teams like Motherwell who've been doing well this season which was a good test for me. I managed to score a couple of goals as well and was very happy with my spell at Dundee and the experience I gained. I'm not used to that! Usually I'm the youngster but I'll try to use the experience I've gained to help other players here. I wouldn't say I'm an old-fashioned centre-forward but I like to get hold of the ball, bring other players into the game and hopefully score a few goals too."
"Obviously Port Vale is a game we're looking for three points from, but Vale will make it difficult for us because they're struggling at the bottom. We won't go there thinking we're entitled to the three points because they will come out fighting."
