Experienced midfielder Robert Lee is at Boundary Park for a mutually benefitial visit. The Latics staff will be watching Lee whereas Lee will in turn be checking out the possibilities of a more permanent move to Oldham. Lee is 38 and has played over 700 games as well as having 21 England International caps. Lee played for Charlton, Newcastle, Derby and West Ham and could provide the present crop of youngsters with the necessary experience to bring up their game.

Brian Talbot said, “Lee has come up to spend a few days with us, to take a look at us and for us to have a close look at his fitness level. He has not played competitive football for some time but he has a wealth of experience and he wants to play football.”

Of the move Lee said, “I was invited to come and play again. I haven't played since I left West Ham 6 months ago so it's a case of me seeing if I can still play football and if I still want to play football. I keep fit by jogging and running. I haven't trained with a group of lads playing football for quite a while really, so it'll be interesting to see how I cope!”
