With Wayne Andrews gone Dowie said, “None of the players want this team to break up. It’s true that three have given their notice, but it was done amicably and I appreciate they have futures to consider. Fitz, Will and Les have all shown brilliant attitude in training, as have the rest of the lads – it’s humbling to see players who are out of contract show so much dedication. In a gesture of faith Fitz Hall has donated his £500 winnings from the Horners Motor Group Player of the season to the Supporters Trust.
