Red card appeal overturned

Athletic have failed in their appeal to have the red card which was given to Clint Hill in the game at Colchester United overturned. The F.A. Disciplinary Committee considered the appeal for wrongful dismissal but the video panel
returned the verdict that it was not a case of wrongful dismissal, therefore the red card must stand.
Hill must now serve an automatic 3 match ban which begins immediately. This rules Hill out of the away matches at Swindon Town and Port Vale as well as the home match against Luton Town.
