Previous Match
The previous game between both sides in the league ended in a 2-2 draw at London Road. Ernie Cooksey got his first senior goal for Oldham rushing in and firing an unstoppable shot into the net after 10 minutes. 20 minutes into the game Leon McKenzie scored his first of the season for Peterborough. After the break McKenzie put The Posh into the lead after a good solo effort from him only for Oldham to be awarded a penalty after Boshell was brought down in the box, John Sheridan stepped up to score the equaliser. Chris Killen was sent off in injury time for two bookable offences.

Wes Wilkinson is looking like a huge doubt for the rest of the season, he has been nursing a knee cartridge problem for the last few weeks but now it looks like the injury is too bad for him to play. Chris Killen is still unavailable but is close to full fitness. Kieran Westwood is having trouble with his finger that he broke and isn’t fit enough to join the squad. Calvin Zola is serving his last game of a three match suspension. Stephen Schumacher’s loan deal has finished now and it was decided not to extend it and he returns to Everton. David Beherall joins the squad after recovering from broken ribs and family bereavement. Brian Talbot has already given hints to the players who will start the game, Johnson will be on the right wing. Dean Crowe and John Eyre will start as the front two, the defence will be the same as against Luton.

Matthew Gill and Steve Jenkins will be battling for a place in midfield and Christopher Kanu and Mark Arber are added to the squad.
