Carl Winchester's stoppage-time equaliser earns Oldham a share of the spoils
Substitute Carl Winchester's stoppage-time equaliser rescued a point for Oldham as they drew 2-2 with Port Vale at Vale Park.
A fortuitous deflection from Ollie Banks' free-kick had given League One's lowest scorers the lead but goals from Remie Streete and Rigino Cicilia put the Valiants ahead, before Winchester's late strike.
The visitors, who are now winless in their last five league games, broke the deadlock after 48 minutes when Banks' 20-yard shot struck the Valiants' wall and curled past the helpless Jak Alnwick.
The Latics' lead lasted just three minutes as Streete stooped low at the back post to guide home a Ryan Taylor free-kick for his fourth league goal of the season.
Cicilia gave Vale the advantage with 12 minutes remaining, sliding along the ground to prod home Quentin Pereira's cut-back after Connor Ripley had parried Alex Jones' well-struck shot.
But Winchester had the final word as Oldham pressed for an equaliser, firing home from close range in the fourth minute of added time after the ball was drilled in from the right.
