"In the second half we looked better and a lot more comfortable, at least we started closing down from the front, but it was still disappointing because we wanted to do well in our first home game. They were poor goals to concede and they killed us, we were knocked sideways. The performance left us with plenty to work on but we all know what we have to do and it is good to have the Middlesbrough fixture coming this Wednesday."
Penney wants improved performance
Boss Dave Penney will certainly be calling for an improved performance against Middlesbrough on Wednesday night after admitting to the official website about the Sunderland game, "We were not good enough. You can't afford to give goals away like we did and expect to win games whether you are playing against a top side or the Dog and Duck, it doesn't matter. Individual errors cost us and you can't compensate for that."
