The players will be introduced to the crowd during the half time interval and it should bring back many happy memories of the pinch-me seasons under Joe Royle, unarguably the most successful time in the clubs history.
Sean Jarvis told the official website, "All invitations have been issued this week and we are hoping that the players come along and give the crowd a boost by making an appearance at half time. We have tracked down each one including Roger Plamer and are keeping our fingers crossed he and all the others agree to come to the game. Their appearance, I am sure will not only bring back a lot of fantastic memories for our supporters but also will be a great way for us to continue our 100 years of Boundary Park celebrations particularly as this was arguably one of the greatest achievements in our history."
It will be interesting to see if the great man, Roger Palmer, does appear. Palmer has become a bit of a recluse since he retired from the game and has many invites to Boundary Park although none of them were fruitful. Oooohhhh!!! if only!
