Oldham Athletic is dead - long live Oldham Athletic

Oldham Athletic A.F.C. Ltd., the old company that operated the club will be formally wound up on Wednesday. The Administrators PKF are to apply to the courts to have the administration order placed on the club discharged. The club will continue to be operated by the new company Oldham Athletic (2004) A.F.C. Ltd., the new Oldham Athletic. This sees an end to the uncertainty that has existed since the dark days of last summer, and will see the official take over of
the club by new owners Simon Blitz, Simon Corney and Danny Gazal. Although both Oldham Athletic FC’s have been in existence, only the new business has been operating. The original company was founded in 1899.
