Both were named in the 19 man party who will play a friendly against Newcastle Town tonight.
Killen missed last week’s 5-0 win against Stalybridge because he was regaining fitness at Lilleshall. Latics manager Brian Talbot says that Killen is now 100% fit. He is lacking in match practice though, and is expected to feature in tonight’s game.
Appleby has been training at former club Darlington, and played his first match for 16 months against Stalybridge last Tuesday July 13th. He is also expected to play in tonight’s match.
The group also includes trialist keeper, Trinidadian Kelvin Jack. It also includes youngsters Marc Tierney, Kelvin Lomax and Danny Forde.
