Athletic are very close to bringing in a new goalkeeper for Saturday's visit to Huddersfield but have denied any interest in signing West Ham goalkeeper Jimmy Walker (pictured). Rumours have been suggesting that a loan deal for the 34 year old was on the cards but Alan Hardy stated, "Jimmy Walker's name has not been mentioned at all. The manager has come up with a few different people and obviously we do need a signing, but I don't expect anything until later in the week."The problem is that Athletic want any prospective deal to ensure that any incoming player will be eligible to play in the FA Cup first round on November 10th. as first team regular Mark Crossley will still be out of action on that date.
