The Latics have appointed Neil Joy as their new Chief Executive Officer. Mr Joy has been the Company Accountant for the last 14 years and will replace Alan Hardy who had to step down due to health grounds.
Joy is 43 and commented, “Paul Dickov is doing a magnificent job and, with a potential trip to Wembley in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, these are exciting times for the club as well as for me personally. It is extremely tough economically for clubs at our level and it has to be our objective to maximise revenue off the field as well as encouraging more fans to support the team on a regular basis. We must retain our loyal fan base as well as attracting more through the turnstiles.”
