Athletic will unveil their new manager at a press conference at 3:00pm. It is expected that the successor to temporary boss Joe Royle will be revealed as Dave Penney who yesterday resigned as boss of financially struggling Darlington Town. Ex-Quakers boss Penney spent over two years at the Arena guiding the club away from relegation in his first campaign and he also oversaw the clubs play-off finish last season. Penney's first team coach Martin Gray and goalkeeping coach Andy Collett could all be recruited in the move to Athletic which would mean a completely new managerial team at Boundary Park.
