Moyes disappointed

Everton manager David Moyes was obviously disappointment to lose at home to Athletic in one of the biggest cup shocks this season. He told the official Everton website, "It was not what we expected. Credit to Oldham they defended very well throughout the game and scored an opportunist goal. We have been scoring an awful lot of goals this season and at Goodison but today we did not get any. I was disappointed because I did not think we played well. I will give Oldham a lot of credit for the way they defended but they did not cause us any problems at the other end of the field."
"I think that miss (by James Vaughan) was important. It was a big moment. You have to be clinical. We had centre forwards today who got chances and they missed. In recent weeks we have had centre forwards who have had chances and scored them. I think we lacked craft and quality today. We played a game which might have suited Oldham, too many flick ons and run ons."
