Wayne Quinn has already arrived at Oldham. He came with Rob Lee this morning to start training. Oldham manager Talbot said that Wayne is "a quality left-sided player who's become disillusioned with the game...He's come up here to do some training and we'll take it from there."
Oldham's other trialist is Simon Kelly, who arrives on Monday from Dundalk football club in Ireland. Talbot has said that he has had "very good reports" about the 6'2" midfielder, but has not seen him play yet.
That could change on Wednesday, because it is probable both Quinn and Kelly will feature for Latics reserves against Manchester United reserves at Hyde FC. That match is on Wednesday, kick off 7pm.
Although I have also seen neither play, they sound like two useful permanent additions to Oldham's midfield when the players currently on loan, Lee Croft, Mark Hughes and Neil Kilkenny, return to Manchester City, Spurs and Birmingham City respectively.
