"We looked nice and bright and on another day we might have scored one or two more. Anybody who watched the game will know we didn't get a good hiding and I didn't see any fans storming off. But we do have to tighten up defensively because, at the moment, we need to score five goals to win a game!"
Moore not too downhearted
Ronnie Moore was not too downhearted after Athletics 4-1 defeat in their final warm-up game at Crewe. He told the official site, “It might sound crackers after a scoreline like that, but there were plusses and positives to come out of the game. We gave away an own goal in the first minute, bounced back to equalise then conceded two more before half-time. But we came back to have the lion's share of the contest and created some good chances. It doesn't matter who you are playing, be it a Premiership side or one from a Sunday League, it is all about how you react. My players certainly showed the right attitude."
