Moore enthuses over Wellens

An upbeat Ronnie Moore enthused at his latest signing and said, “Richie is the type of player we’ve been looking for. He’s a leader and I believe he wanted a new challenge. He probably spent too long at Blackpool and needed something else to get his teeth into. Although he is only in his mid-20s, he has plenty of experience and doesn’t miss many games. It would have been nice to have kept Scott, especially after he had signed a new contract only a couple of weeks ago, but he probably thought he had a better chance of making it at Blackpool.”
