Corney said, "We've always backed all our managers, and John's had some good support this year. I think a number of players could do a job for us both in this league and in the Championship. However, we probably need half a dozen players and there will be funds available for that. It's still in our own hands going into the last two games. More than anything, going up is important in terms of morale and it's nice to show progress. If we don't gain promotion this year, I want it to be because we've been unlucky, not because we've not played well or have given it away."
Money will be made available
Simon Corney has told John Sheridan that he will have money to play with for new signings in the summer, whatever league the Latics are playing in. He revealed to the official website that funding could be made available for up to six players.
