The Latics have signed Reece Brown on loan from Manchester United . The 20-year-old midfielder made his debut in the amazing 3-2 victory at Sheffield United and will remain at Boundary Park for the next month to help with the current injury situation. Brown is the brother of former United favourite Wes who is now playing for Sunderland and was in last summer's England team which played in the under-20 World Cup in Colombia.
Brown commented, “I have had previous loan spells at Bradford City and Doncaster Rovers and they are all part of the learning curve. I have reached the age when I need to be playing first-team games. It has been a frustrating season as I have only played six matches because of hamstring and hernia injuries. It is a privilege to play here, to help the team and learn from playing proper men's football against players who are bigger and quicker.”
