It was another convincing win at Moss Rose for a Latics team that seems to be getting it just right. John Sheridans team won with another two goals from their impressive new strike force of Craig Davies and Michael Ricketts, who proved once again that they could be quite a force to be reckoned with when the season kicks off on Saturday at home to Swansea City.The bad news was that Kelvin Lomax picked up an injury which might put him out of the season opener and the injury leaves Sheridan with a problem with the left-back spot as Stefan Stam is also injured. I'm sure it will be alright on the day as Shez is becoming the master at pulling the rabbit out of the hat at the right time.
