Low out for two months

Josh Low who was forced to leave the game at Burton prematurely could be out for two months with his hamstring injury. This is the second time this season that his hamstring has given him problems and he could hardly walk after the penalty shoot-out win at Eton park.

With Dean Holden out until Christmas, Dowie faces some major decisions as
to who will take the wing-back position. Paul Murray is still being plaqued by knee problems and was rested for the cup replay in the hope that he will regain fitness sooner, but he is still not expected to be ready to face Barnsley on
Saturday. David Eyres will also be missing due to a one-match ban.

Dowie said, “We are getting short of numbers and losing Josh is a massive blow – he is very important to us. The games just keep on coming, so we are going to need all our resources to get through them.” Commenting on the FA Cup win he went on, “We missed a lot of chances again and that clinical edge has gone missing around the box. The goals we conceded were poor as well, especially the first because we looked quite comfortable at 1-0 and knew about their short corners. I wouldn’t disagree that Burton had a good penalty shout at the end of normal time, but we had a case for one as well so it probably evened out. Burton were terrific and it was a difficult tie – we needed all our spirit to get through.”
