Kelvin Lomax is the fourth player to have his contract terminated terminated. Lomax is 24 and has been at Boundary Park since he was nine years old after graduating from the Centre of Excellence.
He made a total of 94 first-team appearances and after being released by Ronnie Moore in 2006 he was brought back to Athletic by the then new manager John Sheridan.
Lomax was reunited with Sheridan in November at Chesterfield but his loan spell had to be cut short with an ankle ligament injury.
