Kieran Lee made his third appearance of the season in the home draw with Crewe Alexandra and boss Joe Royle was impressed with what he saw. It is expected that Royle will keep Lee in the team for the fixture at the Withdean Stadium on Saturday. He said, "There has been a lot to be pleased with and the shoots of recovery were well and truly there against Crewe. We played some good football, scored a good goal and after half time had chances to go two, three or four up. Therein lies our problem — we are deficient in both boxes. We cannot kill off teams when we are on top, while at the opposite end we cannot keep clean sheets. I have certainly not got my Majorca head on and I am desperate for three points."
