Abdallah Lemsagam, owner of the Latics, has dropped hints that he may be forced to move the club to another ground if the current owners of the stadium are not prepared to drop their asking price to a reasonable amount. He has attempted to buy the ground and Trust Oldham, the fans group, have also been in negotiations to return the ownership of all of Boundary Park, and the land, back to the club. He hinted that a new stadium would be the only option but the Latics have been down this road many times before without any success. Since the owner purchased the club he has realised that he only owns the badge, the players and the staff. There is a lot going wrong at Boundary Park and the fans are not happy. They are now at the stage of making protests after recent goings-on and the quick turn around of managerial staff. It was brought to a head when Paul Scholes recently walked out after claiming that too much 'interference' was the reason he resigned.
Lemsagam said, “... they going far away from reality. I want to buy the club from them and put it all together in one like it used to be but there is no chance because they are asking for a big price and something, too much.”
