Latics take nothing for granted

Latics boss John Sheridan is taking nothing for granted when his team visits Kettering in tomorrows first round FA Cup match. Shez said, "It's the FA Cup and they'll be treating it like a Cup Final. We'll be going there with everyone expecting us to win. I've played in similar games myself and it'll be a close encounter. We must be professional and show them respect, and hopefully we'll get the result we want."
"A good Cup run is very important to this club. If we can get through to the Third Round and draw a decent team, then there's a chance of bringing extra revenue in. It's always good to get far in the competition - I've played in the Final and it was a great experience. I'm realistic enough to know we're not going to get that far, but we need to do well and give a good account of ourselves in the competition. That starts on Saturday."
