Athletic are struggling to find a team for the last two league matches of the campaign. With Filipe Morais being sent off on Saturday he will be facing a four-match ban for violent conduct. Injuries to full-backs Cedric Evina and Kieran Lee have left manager Paul Dickov with somewhat of a selection crisis.
Dickov did not think that the sending-off incident was justified and criticised the decision of referee Darren Drysdale although the club are not planning to appeal against the decision.
The manager joked about his young squad and said, “When they are having their drinks before the game and the recovery drinks afterwards I have to put a teat on some of the bottles. It does bode well for the future and when you have a young team like that, you can’t expect a perfect performance either.”
