20 year old goalkeeper Lance Cronin has been signed as cover for Sunday's FA Cup game at Chasetown. Cronin has signed on non contract forms and was previously with Crystal Palace. He played in the reserves 4-1 win over Bury back in October and as he is a free agent he is not subject to any of the transfer window restrictions. Athletic's only other keeper is youngster Terry Smith and it could have been a major problem if something had happened to Chris day.
