The Latics have completed the signing of former Sheffield United player Connor Brown. He was controversially suspended by the Blades over alleged Twitter comments about Ched Evans' rape victim after the Wales international was convicted and jailed.
Brown was born in Sheffield, spent six years at Bramall lane, and has ironically been signed to replace Kieran Lee who moved to join Sheffield rivals Wednesday. The 20-year-old has signed a 12-month contract with an option for a second season and the versatile player can operate in both full back positions as well as right midfield.
