The Latics have signed a striker! Emmanuel Dieseruvwe is 6'-5” and has put pen to paper on a loan deal from Salford City which will keep him at Boundary Park until the end of the season. He began his career at Sheffield Wednesday, then went on loan at Hyde and Fleetwood Town before making his Football League debut for Chesterfield. He then joined Mansfield Town on loan and signed for Salford after leaving Kidderminster Harriers in 2017. Dieseruvwe helped the Ammies get promotion to the National League. Dieseruvwe is 24 years old and has scored 14 goals in 83 appearances for Salford, including the club’s first ever goals in the Football League.
Head Coach Dino Maamria said, “We are very happy to add Emmanuel to our front line to give us more strength, power and athleticism in that area of the pitch. I believe he will develop to be a fantastic signing for us with an option to keep him at the end of the season. He's still young with huge potential.” He will be available for the visit to Macclesfield.
