The players will meet up for a pre-match meal and bonding session at the Avant Hotel in Oldham and will then return to Boundary Park by coach, just like the normal arrangements for an away game. George Barlow & Sons are playing their bit by providing the coach free of charge.
Alan Hardy said of Barlows, “I suppose it was an unusual request but when I spoke with David Barlow he had no hesitation in agreeing to help us and provide the coach free of charge. His company has had a long association with
the club and I hope it will continue for many more years.”
