A series of meetings was held at Oldham Civic Centre on Thursday, the first being with the club's administrators who gave their proposals as to how Athletic could exit administration. It needed 75% of creditors to vote in favour of a new company and board of directors which would allow the club to write off most of its debts.
Two Creditors Voluntary Agreement meetings were subsequently held and creditors and shareholders voted unanimously to accept the Creditors Voluntary Agreement.
Latics move a step closer to coming out of administration
The next step is for the administrators and the new owners to meet with the Football League Board on January 15th. to transfer the club's Football League membership to the new company.
