Latics aim for seven on the trot

John Sheridan is looking look to make it seven wins on the trot when Athletic entertain Crewe Alexandra at Boundary Park tonight although he is again asking his players not to underestimate the opposition. He admitted, "Crewe are unpredictable. They're an excellent footballing side on their day but they do let goals in, as has been shown a few times this season. I'm just concentrating on what we're going to do. We're at home and our record at Boundary Park is very good so we need to get at them. If we get our tempo right then it's a game we can win. We'll have to be on our toes when defending as they are a very good attacking team with some good forward players. However, if we defend properly as a team then we've got a chance because I'm confident we'll score goals. I don't believe in squad rotation. I can't afford to do it so I'll stick with what I've got. I didn't like it when I was playing so hopefully we'll keep winning. It certainly makes my job easier."

Sheridan has been forced to switch his squad for the game after Chris Hall went down with illness. Matthew Wolfenden will replace him after scoring in each of his last six reserve outings. Also returning to the squad are on loan players Tomasz Cywka and Adam Legzdins after missing the FA Cup win at Kings Lynn due to being refused permission to play by their clubs. Kelvin Lomax also returns after recovering from injury.

The full squad in full is as follows:
Les Pogliacomi, Simon Charlton, Craig Rocastle, Will Haining, Richie Wellens, Tomasz Cywka, Neil Wood, Paul Edwards, Adam Legzdins, Paul Warne, Gary McDonald, Sean Gregan, Chris Taylor, Marc Tierney, Chris Porter, Andy Liddell, Matthew Wolfenden, Neal Trotman, Neal Eardley, Kelvin Lomax.
