After the disappointment of the play-off semi final loss to QPR the Latics beat Manchester City 2-0 at Boundary Park to retain the Manchester Senior Cup. They took the lead after 30 minutes when Julien Baudet rose unchallenged to
head home and Scott Vernon got the second on the stroke of half-time.
